2. The Data We Collect About You
Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. We group the personal data we collect into distinct, role-specific categories based on how you interact with the Platform.
2.1 General Account Data (All User Roles)
Identity Data: First name, last name, username, date of birth, and profile photos.
Contact Data: Email address, billing address, telephone number, and business details.
Financial Data: Bank card details and billing history, processed securely via our third-party checkout partner, Stripe. CCUK never stores raw card details on its servers.
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and login session tokens.
2.2 Role-Specific Data Matrices
Talent Profiles: Physical characteristics, such as height, hair colour, eye colour, playing age, vocal characteristics, union affiliations such as Equity, links to external industry CVs such as Spotlight, headshot portfolios, uploaded media including showreels and voice clips, and complete professional credits.
Casting Professionals & Production Companies: Corporate affiliations, verified tracking information, project breakdowns, brief logs, and casting call specifications.
Agents & Agencies: Agency branding materials, corporate operational details, and sub-profile links for multi-client roster management.
Crew Profiles: Professional department specialties, kit lists, links to past production databases, and professional portfolios.
Industry Services: Business categories, geographic servicing limitations, and commercial promotional collateral.
3. Special Category Data and Safeguarding of Minors
3.1 Age Restrictions and Mandatory Verification Holding State
The Platform accommodates profiles for performers under the age of 18 ("Child Accounts") only under strict safeguarding parameters.
Child Accounts cannot be registered or operated independently by a minor. They must be created, managed, and legally maintained exclusively by a parent or legally appointed guardian who assumes full responsibility for the account.
The Verification Hold: Upon registration, a Child Account does not get approved and will not be visible within our public talent directory, search index, or to external industry professionals until CCUK administration has manually completed our formal verification checks, which may include proof of identity and legal guardianship status. Data collected during this onboarding phase is kept hidden in a secure, non-indexed state.
3.2 Special Category Data
Certain profile metrics required by the creative industries, such as racial ethnicity, physical playing age, health/disability parameters for accessible sets, or union affiliations, are legally classified as "Special Category Data" under UK GDPR. By voluntarily inputting these metrics into a Talent profile to enhance casting search matches, you grant CCUK explicit consent to store and display this data to verified Casting Professionals.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including satisfying any legal, accounting, or billing reporting duties.
6.2 Cancellation and Account Deletion Metrics
Subscription Cancellation: If you cancel a premium membership tier, your commercial billing data remains on file within Stripe for statutory tax compliance reasons, but your profile configuration updates to reflect your downscaled account limits at the next renewal date.
Full Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): If you request a full account deletion via your settings dashboard, your public directory presence, headshots, media records, and applications are immediately scrubbed from our active live search indexes. Backup records held within our secure system mirrors will automatically purge completely within 30 days.
